Do not worry. This is not another Google Wave blog post. Instead, this is the post of another online store that was developed by our team and two great guys from WEBDOGS company: Pacific Wave Surf Shop. This family owned business has been open since 1993. Physical surf shop is in the old historical building in downtown Santa Cruz, and is packed wall to wall with surf and skate products. Although building is historical, Pacific Wave moved to online waters very early. After some time of online presence, they opened an osCommerce powered online store in 2007. Two years later, it was time to move on.

David Savage and Sergey Leongardt from WEBDOGS contacted us few weeks ago with the inquiry to move their osCommerce powered online store with couple of thousands products and over 6000 customers to Magento. At this point, we had a newcomer in our team: Domagoj Potkoc with the perfect combination of skills and platform knowledge. Before joining Inchoo, Domagoj had over 10 developed osCommerce and 2 Magento online stores in his portfolio.
Webdogs presented us the design and we moved to development and product/customers import phase. Few weeks later, Pacific Wave shined in its new outfit: http://pacwave.com/

David SavageWe were looking for a Magento consulting company to help move our existing OSCommerce website onto the Magento platform. Through the grace of Google we found Inchoo, Surgeworks eCommerce team. Inchoo’s team of Magento experts walked us through the development process, answered all of our detailed questions, and built the best ecommerce website we could have asked for. Inchoo’s experience with Magento was a big asset in the project, and they were able to lead us away from expensive solutions into creative and intelligent solutions that fit our budget. Inchoo and Surgeworks delivered on time and on budget, and we have found a trusted group of Magento consultants that we look forward to working with again.

  1. Looking great, although when I visit this page:
    http://pacwave.com/guys.html

The grid of products look skewed. The first 2 products on the last row have dropped down onto their own row.

  2. Hey Everyone, just wanted to let you know that Pacific Wave has a new version of their website running Magento Enterprise 1.11. Please take a look at pacwave.com and send your comments to thedogs [at] webdogs [dot] com. We have been getting a lot of questions and just to clarify: Inchoo helped us with our first version of Magento (back in 2009) and the new website was designed and developed in California by WEBDOGS. Thanks!
