Web developer’s homebrew

Web developer’s homebrew

As you can see by our iPhone section, we like gadgets. At least ones that we can modify!

I, for example, am a owner of Nintendo Wii console. During the last few months, in my spare time, i was working on building custom media center network for my home.

The result was Wii homebrew application MPlayer Christmas Edition, modified Wii port of famous MPlayer. It was fun to go back to good old  C programming. I also refreshed my linux knowledge hacking through WD MyBook World Edition, which is external network disk that i’m using for storage purposes.

Interesting thing was, that at the same time, i get to work on some technicalities for one online video portal which uses linux and mplayer as backend. And i really used the things i learned.

I still have some things to finish, upload source code changes, write some tutorials, but now struggling with Magento is my priority. I’m a web developer after all ;)

  1. I want this one!… Keep up with this effort so that I can download it when I’ll get my own Wii.
This means you may have a quite few months to complete this toy ;)

  2. I assembled great team that continued my work on this ..
