Learning and adrenaline – Inchoo Learning Day #9

Learning and adrenaline – Inchoo Learning Day #9

We had another Inchoo Learning Day in Baranja on Friday, May 26. It is a day when all of us Inchooers collectively leave our offices and enjoy the beauties of Slavonia and Baranja, and combine learning with team building activities.

This was the 9th Inchoo Learning Day (ILD) in a row. This time; Zlatna Greda, an eco center about 30 km from Osijek, in the middle of forest. Zlatna Greda is an organized concept that provides a practical experience of coexistence with nature as a place to learn, but also as a place to have fun; you can visit the adrenaline park, take a walk, or see the animals. It’s like a house in nature which functions through practical examples of sustainable growth, such as the renewable energy sources, waste separation, social entrepreneurship and responsible business conduct.

1st Inchoo Learning Day

1st Inchoo Learning Day

Check our images on FlickrWe’re hoping to start a new tradition with the event we organized today. 1st Inchoo Learning Day took place in Zlatna Greda, Croatia where the group of geeks (Inchooers) gathered to discuss and learn about programming best practices. The idea is simple. We will take one Friday every two months to go somewhere in the nature and spend a day working on education and knowledge sharing.

We knew it will be a fun event, but we weren’t sure if it will be as useful as we hoped. Now, few days after, things are clear. It was a great thing to have a day like this where developers will move away from computers and share knowledge between each other.

SmashingConf New York 2015 – a review by Inchoo

SmashingConf New York 2015 – a review by Inchoo

Life at Inchoo is not all about hard work. It is also about having fun doing what you love, acquiring new skills and upgrading existing ones to get the big picture and getting the chance to learn from the experience of others. Learning from experiences of others is an important part of individual personal growth and success which benefit greatly to everyone; from said individuals, their team, Inchoo, and ultimately our clients who get to reap the fruits of one’s experiences and views. After all, all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.

Following that philosophy, Inchooers can often be seen attending and speaking at various conferences in various parts of the world. Gathering knowledge through experiences of others, traveling and getting to see the world, meeting people and eventually understanding what makes someone tick – all of that results in always fresh ideas that help us solve the problems we encounter every day.

My Sales and marketing Internship at Inchoo

My Sales and marketing Internship at Inchoo

My month of April was reserved for a completely new experience in 2015 – sales and marketing internship at Inchoo. I spent four weeks in Gdansk, sales & partially marketing team named after the city in Poland (all of the Inchoo teams are named after cities across the world).

This team is the starting point for all forms of business – no matter if it’s smaller SEO jobs or making a web shop from scratch, sales & marketing is where the inquiries come to and where communication transforms into project that later on finds its way to Inchoo’s designers and developers.

Previous interns have already praised their experience at Inchoo so I’ll try to keep it to a minimum. One of them actually started working full time just as I was starting my internship. An excellent example how your internship can become something more at Inchoo.
