No more accidental clicks on mobile Google ads

Google today announced a change in clicks for all in-app image ad banners on smartphones.

This change will help in reducing accidental clicks by prompting the user to confirm that they intended to click on the ad, just like it was introduced for mobile text-ads few years ago. Unlike text ad format, where tapping on the blue arrow button takes you to the advertiser’s ad destination and tapping anywhere else in the ad prompts you to confirm your click, this change for image ads will prompt you wherever you click on the banner.
