Their website, a critical part of their business, was showing its age. It no longer reflected their brand’s evolution or the expectations of modern online shoppers. Clunky navigation, outdated visuals, and limited functionality made it clear: it was time for a change.
As their digital partner, we had been collaborating with Construction Fasteners and Tools for some time, so we knew their online store potential. When we proposed a full redesign to bring their digital presence to the next level, the Construction Fasteners and Tools team was on board. What followed was a journey of transformation, from outdated to outstanding.

A Fresh, Modern Look
Visual design of Construction Fasteners and Tools was completely overhauled to match its reputation as a leader in the industry. The result was a clean, professional, and intuitive design that reflected the brand’s reliability and expertise.
Navigating Construction Fasteners and Tools’ extensive catalog of tools and fasteners has been a pain point for users. We introduced a new navigation structure that made finding the right product easier than ever. Whether customers were searching by category, brand, or tool type, the path was clear and frustration-free.
We implemented the Hyvä theme to power the redesign. Hyvä’s lightweight architecture brought lightning-fast load times and improved overall performance, ensuring a smooth user experience across all devices. Its flexibility also allowed us to build a platform that Construction Fasteners and Tools could easily scale in the future.
Exciting New Features
The new online store didn’t just look better—it worked smarter. Features like auto address lookup streamlined the checkout process, while input masking for phone numbers reduced errors and ensured a smoother shopping experience.
We also improved brand landing pages, giving each brand its own spotlight. And while configurable products weren’t previously part of Construction Fasteners and Tools’ offerings, we prepared dedicated pages for these, allowing them to introduce this option when ready.
Loyalty Program Integration
To encourage repeat purchases, we implemented a comprehensive loyalty program using the Amasty Reward Points extension. Customers earn 5% back in reward points for every eligible purchase, with each point equaling CAD 1. Banners on the Homepage, information on the Product pages, and a dedicated CMS page promote the program, ensuring clear communication of its benefits. Custom pricing and excluded payment methods were accounted for to ensure seamless functionality.
Results
The redesigned online store was launched, and the impact was immediate. Customer engagement, user satisfaction, and business performance all took significant steps forward. Here’s what the numbers told us 2 months after the launch, comparing the previous period:
- 23% increase in purchases and an 18% increase in conversion rate.
- 130% increase in brand landing page sessions as a result of the branding page improvements.
- 490% increase in brand landing page revenue proves that putting the spotlight on brand pages really paid off for our client.
One feature we’re also particularly proud of is the introduction of a reward points program for Construction Fasteners and Tools’s customers. This simple yet effective loyalty system added a new layer of engagement. In just 2 months since launch:
- Customers earned a total of 7,435 points, showing strong adoption of the program.
- 369.53 points were redeemed, highlighting its practical value.
- On average, customers earned 21 reward points each, incentivizing them to return and shop again.
This program is already fostering stronger customer relationships and will continue to pay rewards as it grows.
