Before presenting the project, let us introduce Traktor Servis, a Croatian-based company specializing in selling and importing tractor parts. With over ten years of experience, they source products from more than ten EU countries, offering a wide range of parts for renowned global tractor brands such as Deutz, Same, Lamborghini, Hurlimann, Case, Fendt, International, Massey Ferguson, and John Deere.

They have also been representatives for the Italian company Finimpianti from Torino, which specializes in manufacturing high-quality copies of all tractor parts for all tractor models. With their professional staff and passion for tractor models, they have built a strong customer base across Croatia. Now, with the launch of their new online store, they are poised to expand their reach throughout the EU.

Challenge

Before we started with the development of their online store, we conducted a thorough analysis of several factors:

  • Ensure the correct platform and ecosystem
  • Enhance user experience and visual representation
  • Provide better analytics for user behavior and overall traffic
  • Ensure the possibility of a search through the Make / Series / Model functionality

After those challenges had been identified, we started the development phase. Our main goal was to provide a clean, simple, and user-friendly online store that keeps its current visual representation while providing users with a new and refreshing experience.

Solution

From a technical standpoint, the new Traktor Servis webshop has three specifics that stand out from all the other stores we developed:

  1. Mage-OS platform instead of Magento Open Source
  2. Hyvä frontend framework
  3. Specially developed Make / Series / Model functionality

For the ecosystem distribution, we chose Mage-OS instead of the usual Magento Open Source. Mage-OS is an open initiative to ensure the accessibility, longevity, and success of the Magento platform and ecosystem.

We particularly focused on ensuring and establishing a safe and secure infrastructure and environment for our client and its new online store. We must emphasize that this is our first Mage-OS project and among the first-ever stores built on the Mage-OS distribution.

After the successful launch of our first project using the Hyvä frontend framework, we decided to use the Hyvä theme once again. Based on our previous experience, this was the obvious and the most effective solution as it ensures much easier, simpler, and faster development.

Our third technical solution is the Make/Series/Model functionality that was developed internally by our backend and frontend developers. Since our client is coming from the automotive industry, we had to ensure that their future users have the possibility to search the catalog through the brand (make), series, and model attributes of the various tractor parts.

What makes this functionality special is the fact that searching for specific parts of a tractor is much more efficient and user-friendly, since without that configuration, users will be lost in a jungle of possible parts variations and a huge catalog list.

There are many parts that are universal and can fit on multiple tractor brands, series, and models, but we ensure that those products are visibly labeled so users can see whether this specific product is their fit. As you can see, this functionality was specifically mapped and configured for our client. However, we can customize it to be usable for any future automotive industry client.

From an SEO perspective, we implemented our Inchoo SEO Manager toolkit, which adheres to all technical SEO standards and enables a robust, advanced SEO configuration. The setup was carefully tailored to ensure that attributes, filters, and content were optimized for maximum visibility in search engines, aiming to boost organic search traffic in the near future.

Results

Our main goal was to provide future users with a clean, simple and user-friendly website that will be easy to navigate and at the same time provide them with key functionalities from the automotive industry.

We managed to do that through the custom-made Make/Series/Model functionality and simple design that is adjusted to fit different user segments from this specific industry.
