Hello guys. Here is the first episode of the new comic series “The inchooers” that we will try to update once or twice a month. January 25th, 2010 at 13:22
Great…The same thing happened to me as well…
January 25th, 2010 at 14:39
I don’t get it.
January 25th, 2010 at 14:52
Brillant !
January 25th, 2010 at 14:54
@Ivan The joke is about how complex Magento is, where the simplest tasks can take much longer then expected
At least for the beginners…
January 25th, 2010 at 15:03
rofl XD sounds familiar ^_^
January 25th, 2010 at 16:28
So true…
January 25th, 2010 at 17:28
Awesome! and so true
)
January 25th, 2010 at 17:29
The scary part is… it’s true. People take on Magento freelance gigs and think it’s easy. Great comic!
January 25th, 2010 at 18:10
It took getting hit by a car for me to suddenly understand magento…
January 25th, 2010 at 19:16
Haha, that’s a great comic. One of many reasons why you shouldn’t act like a know-it-all in an interview. You can be a PHP and Zend master and you’ll still have the learning curve with Magento.
Great comic guys!
January 25th, 2010 at 19:47
Hilariously funny! Only developers can truly appreciate it, but any Magento user know’s just what a beast it is to work with.
January 25th, 2010 at 20:13
I was there!!!
January 25th, 2010 at 20:17
Ph.D. in rocket science, rofl !! not enough new guy, not enough ..
January 25th, 2010 at 21:30
make it more educational and in the next series start with including and at the end of index.php as this dudes first non rocket-science knowledge
)
cool comic
January 25th, 2010 at 21:31
oh noes, code snippets stripped out
January 25th, 2010 at 21:50
Hahahahaha, that just about hits it!!! Nice work, can’t wait to see upcoming episodes!!!
January 25th, 2010 at 23:21
LOL.
The best explanation of what happens when one starts with Magento.
January 26th, 2010 at 6:23
but, Where is footer.phtml ?
)
January 26th, 2010 at 10:25
Great interview!
January 26th, 2010 at 17:11
lololololol
a gde su devojke?
January 26th, 2010 at 19:33
Love it! I think it took me 4 hours.
“Now where do I change the footer… Is that a block, model, template, or layout…?”
January 27th, 2010 at 4:12
If I were that guy, I will use Firebug to finish that little task within 1 minute. Just kidding!
Nice comic, keep going!
January 27th, 2010 at 10:48
Great illustration and text!
January 30th, 2010 at 17:23
good one
February 4th, 2010 at 23:09
I remember back in the day when Magento always did this to me.
February 8th, 2010 at 18:35
simply great! Good thing our new developers at Magento Technologies aren’t like that. If they we’re, automatically FIRED with the rocket
kiddin.
February 23rd, 2010 at 8:37
lol
but it’s true – magento sux !
February 23rd, 2010 at 9:10
@lol Point of this comic is not “Magento sux”, it is more like: “Magento is hard for beginners”, so I’m kinda interested how did you came up with “It is true that Magento sux” thing in thread where nobody said anything bad about Magento. ?_?
March 5th, 2010 at 8:43
Good damn! So very true!
)
April 30th, 2010 at 14:13
Yes, that is a pretty accurate cartoonification of my first encounter with magento.
May 26th, 2010 at 19:49
Dito and i still spend lot of time on stupid tasks
May 29th, 2010 at 12:26
LOL
this comic made my day.
Great work, keep going!!!
June 28th, 2010 at 7:34
Ah, oh, ouch.
Got that dude on interview though….
After 5 min of “investigation” … rocket scientist on paper only….
LOL
P.S.
Magento is that dude from X-Men???
June 28th, 2010 at 7:49
No. Dude from X-men is Magneto.
August 24th, 2010 at 12:43

But it will be better i am sure
